Tuning by Vath for Mercedes C63 AMG
Only half a year has passed since the craftsmen from the Vath bureau have worked hard on the Mercedes C 63 AMG coupe with a 600 N•m and 457 hp engine.With. As a result, it was possible to improve the performance of the motor up to 840 N•m and 680 l.With. The resulting two-door accelerated to 100 km / h in exactly 4 seconds (previously 4.5), and its highest speed reached 335 km / h.
However, these characteristics did not suit the engineers from Hösbach. They presented another refinement – the crazy V63 Supercharged coupe, converted from the C 63 AMG Black Series (engine 620 N•m and 517 hp.With., acceleration in 4.2 seconds to 100 km/h). Thanks to a new drive compressor, an air-cooled water system, and an improved engine management program, a power of 756 hp was achieved.With. and limit torque 800 N•m.
The masters from Vath managed to increase the engine power so much without adding a working volume, not only by installing a mechanical supercharger on the internal combustion engine, but also by maximizing the breathing of the unit.
The cost of such tuning of the V-shaped “eight” with an engine capacity of 6.2 liters is € 38,500. Optionally, you can choose other changes, for which a separate price list is provided. These include a new muffler and catalytic converter, an original exhaust system made of stainless steel, a suspension with stiffer springs and adjustable shock absorbers. You can also order a new steering wheel, 405mm front brake discs, starless grille, oil cooler, carbon and wood trim, 20-inch forged wheels, and a speedometer with a maximum speed of 400 km/h.
The refinement is distinguished from a simple coupe and exhaust pipes, but you will not notice any special ostentatious elements in the design. Bureau Vath did not spoil the original style in this case either.
All the changes listed above add about € 30,000 more to the price of the original version. As a result, along with the alteration of the engine, a lot comes out: 70 thousand plus 115 thousand for the “black series” C 63 AMG. As expected, the main characteristics of the tuning turned out to be more impressive than the previous revision of the same bureau. So, the acceleration time to 100 km / h decreased to 3.6 seconds, and the highest speed increased to 350 km / h. This is the result of the work of the Vаth bureau, which can be called tuning in the third degree, given the fact that the first revision is the AMG version of the base coupe, and work on the “black series” is tuning tuning.
