Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0: Fast and maneuverable

DR. ING. h.C. F. Porsche AG (Stuttgart) introduced a novelty worth 178,596 euros. We are talking about modifying a popular model in the Porsche line – 911 GT3 RS 4.0.

The car is equipped with the largest engine for the 911-4 liters in volume (the previous model was equipped with a 3.8-liter engine). Thanks to the atmospheric six -cylinder opposition engine, the new model inherited from its predecessor 911 GT3 RSR, the car has high indicators of the specific (125 liters. With.) and maximum power (500 l. With.), which he is able to develop at 8250 revolutions per minute.

Tuned exclusively for mobile sports, model RS 4.0 is truly amazing for its dynamic characteristics. For example, the car is capable of passing the northern loop of Nyurgurging in 7 minutes and twenty -seven seconds.

A car is produced exclusively with a six -speed gearbox and is able to accelerate to a hundred km/h in 3.9 seconds, and in 12 seconds – up to two hundred km/h. In addition, the maximum speed of the machine is 302 km/h.

A significant decrease in the mass of the car, along with the use of all the necessary racing components in it, makes the car quick and maneuverable. In the basic configuration, the developers equipped this model with lightweight components, including bucket seats made of carbonate front wings and front cover, rear plastic windows, as well as lightweight rugs in the cabin. As a result of such innovations, the refueled car in full equipment weighs only 1360 kg.

The basic white 911 model stands out with its wide track, low body position, large rear spoiler with adapted sidewalls. Its body is optimized according to the parameters of aerodynamics – in the production of the model, air -controlled plates located on the sides of the front were used for the first time, which are responsible for the aerodynamic balance of the car going at high speed.

911 GT3 RS 4.0 will begin to be sold in July 2011, but its release will be limited by a circulation of 600 units.
